Brian Yates the inventor of Line Hugga has been an LGV driver for over 30 years. Like other drivers he had been frustrated by the problems related with tangled air and electrical lines
The turning point however was one wet winters night when he went to pick up his load. After wasting nearly an hour untangling a set of dirty lines, Brian had one of those nightmare days that all truckers have. Missed slots, traffic jams, and your dinner in the dog. Frustrated but determined, he vowed to himself he would come up with an effective solution.
Two years later his invention has established itself as a firm favourite with many users within the transport sector. From drivers, maintenance managers through to financial controllers they all see the benefit of this simple and cost effective product - which does what it says on the tin.
With simplicity in mind the original name of the product 'LowBo' has been changed to Line Hugga - Brian says "that's what product does, it hugs lines - so it didn't really make sense to call it anything else."
In the early days, Brian was assisted by his brother Robert, who has nearly 30 years in the motorcycle accessories industry - much of this time spent working alongside manufacturers of safety clothing and helmets. His experienced proved invaluable when it came to the technical and safety aspects of the LineHugga system.
Brian is optimistic about the future. ‘Many of us want to make a difference and with 12 months road-testing and international patents pending, Line Hugga is positive proof that simple ideas can impact the lives of thousands of users’.
We operate low loaders and a curtain trailers which our drivers can switch between several times a day. This used to be a nightmare before we started to use LineHuggas – well done Brian, what a cracking invention.

Before LineHuggas, I could easily lose two ABS leads in any six month period. I’ve had a set nine months now without a single breakage – they’ve already paid for themselves and they’re still as good as new.

Brian – you’re going to put me out of business! I get at least three calls a night on the M25 to replace broken Suzy leads. A simple but brilliant product!
